Brief Introduction
Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute Co., Ltd. (XIHARI) was founded in 1958, which is one of the 156 key construction projects in the First Five-Year plan of China. XIHARI is an independent third-party laboratory and focuses on the type test, performance test, routine test, certificate test, arbitration inspection, quality appraisement, and metrological verification of electric equipment for worldwide. After more than half a century of development, XIHARI has become a third-party technical service institution integrating standardization, testing, metrological verification, certification and technical research and consultation.
Test Capability
As a third-party independent laboratory, the test capability of XIHARI covers more than 110 types of equipment from LV to UHV including transformers, reactors, instrument transformers, pre-installed substations, insulators, surge arresters, fuses, converter valves, power capacitors, reactive power compensation devices, low voltage apparatus, electric vehicle charging equipment, etc.
In addition to the laboratory in Xi’an, XIHARI has set up laboratories in Changzhou, Shenyang and Qingdao. The test capability ranks the leading position in the world.
Standardization
XIHARI experts serve as chairman of IEC TC22/SC22F, the vice chairman of IEC/TC99, and the convenor of IEC/TC36/MT21 working group.
